Pallieter and De Blijberg International school, Rotterdam

De Blijberg International school sits in the heart of Rotterdam. It is a school which gives lessons in English to children between 4 and 12 years of age who will be living in The Netherlands for a short period of time. The children and parents come from all corners of the world. They are very special people!

Every year the school holds “Charity Day” to raise money for a good cause.
Three years ago, a member of my staff gave a presentation to the children about Pallieter and all the good things it was trying to do for very sick children. The children heard about other charities and had to vote for the charity that they thought most deserved their money. Pallieter won!

We invited Rein Lander to visit our school to talk to the children and from that day on, a very special relationship was born.

Over the last three years our small school has raised almost €5500! The children have had auctions, painted faces, baked cakes and our last effort just before Christmas, was a very successful sponsored run which raised over €1600.

We hope to support Pallieter and its wonderful volunteers for many years to come.
